CITY OF MUSKEGON City Commission Worksession July 10, 2006 MINUTES The meeting was called to order by Mayor Warmington at 5:32 p.m. Present were Mayor Warmington, Vice Mayor Gawron, Commissioners Carter, Davis, Shepherd, Spataro, and Wierengo. 1. Liquor License Reconsideration – Dreamers. City Manager Bryon Mazade explained the request. Dreamer’s Attorney, Mike Walsh, asked the Commission to reconsider their previous decision. 2006-59(a) Motion by Commissioner Shepherd, second by Commissioner Carter to approve the recommendation to the Liquor Control Commission to approve Dreamer’s license for May 1, 2006 to April 30, 2007. ROLL VOTE: Ayes: Carter, Davis, Shepherd, Warmington, and Wierengo Nays: Gawron and Spataro MOTION PASSES 2. Special Event Policy (how many Police Officers needed). Director of Public Safety Tony Kleibecker, explained how he determines how many Police Officers are needed. 3. Finance Division Reorganization. Finance Director Tim Paul explained the item. This will be voted on at the July 11th Commission Meeting. 4. Farmers Market Building Assessment. Discussion was held. 5. Sale of Clay Avenue Parking Ramp. City Manager Bryon Mazade gave an overview. This will be voted on at the July 11th Commission Meeting. 6. Lakos Property. City Manager Bryon Mazade reported on the property. 7. Equal Employment Opportunity Committee. Assistant City Manager Lee Slaughter explained the request. Commission stated to go ahead and send out the letters. 8. National League of Cities. It was recommended that City Clerk Gail Kundinger participate in the showcase. 9. Any Other Business. Various comments were heard from the Commission. 10.
