CITY OF MUSKEGON MUSKEGON HOUSING BOARD OF APPEALS MEETING MINUTES 01/06/11 5:30PM ATTENDANCE: Randy Mackie, Ed Simmons, William Krick, Kirk Kolberg, Chris Carter(late) ABSENT: Jon Rolewicz, Greg Borgman EXCUSED: STAFF: Carmen Smith, Henry Faltinowski, Don LaBrenz II, Anthony Kleibecker, GUESTS: Kenneth Jordan/Sandra Jenkins (1170 Allen-Garage) Meeting minutes: A motion was made by Ed Simmons and seconded by Kirk Kolberg to approve the November 2010 minutes. DANGEROUS BUILDING NEW CASES EN-100197 (Garage) – 732 Allen – Deutsche Bank National, 4600 Regent Blvd Ste. 1000, Irving, TX 75063 No one was present to represent case. Staff Recommendation: Declare the structure substandard, dangerous and a public nuisance. EN-100141- 540 Creston – Willard/Constance Hall – 6392 12th St., Twin Lake, MI 49457 No one was present to represent property. EN-100199(Garage) – 1170 Allen – Kenneth Jordan/Sandra Jenkins – 1277 E. Isabella Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442 Mr. Jordan and Ms Jenkins were present to represent case. Anthony Kleibecker reviewed case. Randy Mackie asked what intentions for property. Mr. Jordan said he plans to move back into the home and asked for time to repair structure. B:\hba\MINUTES 01-06-11.doc 2 OF 4 Anthony Kleibecker stated from pictures that the roof is caving in. Henry Faltinowski stated the block foundation was in tact. Ed Simmons asked about the footings and floor of structure. Henry Faltinowski stated due to debris he couldn’t make a proper inspection of interior. The homeowner would need to remove debris and call for re-inspection walk thru to evaluate what needs to be done. Staff Recommendation: Table case until the April 2011 meeting with interior inspection to be scheduled before work commence. OLD BUSINESS: NEW BUSINESS: ADJOURNMENT: 5:40 PM CITY OF MUSKEGON AMERICAN DISABILITY ACT POLICY FOR ACCESS TO OPEN MEETINGS OF THE CITY COMMISSION AND ANY OF ITS COMMITTEES OR SUBCOMMITTEES. The City of Muskegon will provide necessary reasonable auxiliary aids and services, such as signers for the hearing impaired and audiotapes of printed materials being considered at the meeting, upon twenty-four hours notice to the City of Muskegon.
