CITY OF MUSKEGON MUSKEGON HOUSING BOARD OF APPEALS MEETING MINUTES 03/03/11 5:30PM ATTENDANCE: Randy Mackie, William Krick, Chris Carter, Greg Borgman ABSENT: Ed Simmons, Jon Rolewicz EXCUSED: Kirk Kolberg STAFF: Carmen Smith, Henry Faltinowski, Jim Hoppus, Anthony Kleibecker GUESTS: Meeting minutes: A motion was made by Randy Mackie and seconded by Chris Carter to approve the February 2011 minutes. A roll call vote was taken: AYES: NAYES: EXCUSED: ABSENT: ABSTENTION: Greg Borgman Randy Mackie Jon Rolewicz William Krick Chris Carter Ed Simmons Kirk Kolberg Motion carried. DANGEROUS BUILDING NEW CASES EN-100206 – 163 AMITY – ROSS HARRIS INVESTMENTS LLC, 607 MENLO, MENLO PARK, CA 94025 No one was present to represent property. Anthony Kleibecker reviewed case stating there has been neither compliance nor contact with owner. Staff Recommendation: Declare the structure substandard, dangerous and a public nuisance. EN-100202 – 1358 ARTHUR – DAVID L. STEHOUWER, 17371 VILLA PARK AVE., SPRING LAKE, MI 49456 No one was present to represent case. Anthony Kleibecker reviewed case stating no compliance to order and no owner contact. He stated the structure has been out there for a long time, some work had been done but structure has changed owners several times which has resulted in further deterioration. Chris Carter asked about graffiti on house. Staff Recommendation: Declare the structure substandard, dangerous and a public nuisance. Randy Mackie made a motion to accept staff recommendation and was seconded by William Krick. Anthony Kleibecker stated he would check with Mike Cameron regarding the status. William Krick asked about red house on Webster where he noticed part of foundation missing. Anthony Kleibecker stated he would have Inspection Department check it out. NEW BUSINESS: ADJOURNMENT: 5:45 PM CITY OF MUSKEGON AMERICAN DISABILITY ACT POLICY FOR ACCESS TO OPEN MEETINGS OF THE CITY COMMISSION AND ANY OF ITS COMMITTEES OR SUBCOMMITTEES. The City of Muskegon will provide necessary reasonable auxiliary aids and services, such as signers for the hearing impaired and audiotapes of printed materials being considered at the meeting, upon twenty-four hours notice to the City of Muskegon.
