CITY OF MUSKEGON MUSKEGON HOUSING BOARD OF APPEALS MEETING MINUTES 07/07/11 5:30PM ATTENDANCE: Randy Mackie, William Krick, Greg Borgman, Ed Simmons, Jon Rolewicz, Kirk Kolberg ABSENT: Chris Carter EXCUSED: STAFF: Carmen Smith, Jim Hoppus, Anthony Kleibecker, Don LaBrenz II, Henry Faltinowski GUESTS: Meeting minutes: A motion was made by Randy Mackie and seconded by Ed Simmons to approve the April 2011 minutes. DANGEROUS BUILDING NEW CASES EN-110049 – 557 W. CLAY AVE. – STANLEY SIERADZKI, 1074 KAMPENGA, MUSKEGON, MI 49442 Case was removed from agenda and postponed until September 2011 HBA meeting due to death of Victor Sieradzki. Anthony Kleibecker reviewed case stating there has been no compliance to Notice & Order. Property has gone into foreclosure status. Staff Recommendation: Declare the structure substandard, dangerous and a public nuisance. Randy Mackie made motion to accept staff recommendation and was seconded by Jon Rolewicz. SOUTHERN AVE. – JEFFREY/JENNARY PLUMMER, 1336 Marquette Ave., Muskegon, 49442 No one was present to represent property. Anthony Kleibecker reviewed case stating no compliance to Notice & Order and notices have come back unclaimed. The property is in foreclosure status with redemption until March 31, 2012. Staff Recommendation: Declare the structure substandard, dangerous and a public nuisance. Randy Mackie made a motion to accept staff recommendation and was seconded by Ed Simmons. OLD BUSINESS: NEW BUSINESS: Anthony Kleibecker informed HBA board that he was stepping down from his position as Director of Public Safety and this meeting would be his last to attend. He commended board for their work and willingness to serve on a citizen board. There was some discussion regarding transition. ADJOURNMENT: 5:45 PM CITY OF MUSKEGON AMERICAN DISABILITY ACT POLICY FOR ACCESS TO OPEN MEETINGS OF THE CITY COMMISSION AND ANY OF ITS COMMITTEES OR SUBCOMMITTEES. The City of Muskegon will provide necessary reasonable auxiliary aids and services, such as signers for the hearing impaired and audiotapes of printed materials being considered at the meeting, upon twenty-four hours notice to the City of Muskegon.
