Citizen’s District Council Meeting

CALL TO ORDER:
The meeting was called to order by Veania Coleman at 5:48 pm.

ROLL CALL:
Roll call was taken by Samantha Pulos-Porter, and a quorum was present.
    Present:
            Ken Johnson - Commissioner
            Samantha Ferguson
            Veania Coleman
            Marie Cisneros
            Bonnie Lipan
    Absent:
            James Chabot
    Excused:

    Staff Present:

            Samantha Pulos-Porter
            Sharonda Carson
            Oneata Bailey



APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
A motion to approve the minutes from March 3, 2020 was made by Bonnie Lipan; Marie
Cisneros seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
OLD BUSINESS:
2020 Action Plan: The CDC members received a copy to review via email. There is a 35-day
period to collect comments about the report. This report can be found online at:
https://www.muskegon-mi.gov/cresources/Action%20Plan%202020.pdf. Comments can be
submitted by email/phone via: CNSMail@shorelinecity.com or 231-724-6717.

NEW BUSINESS:
New Member: This was an error on the agenda. There are no new members this meeting.

Budget Timeline – What to Expect: The budget will be presented at the first City Commission
meeting in May for approval.

CDC members requested more time to review the budget and information on past expenditures
and funds left in various line items, and that a special budget meeting will be held.

Veania made a motion to hold a special budget meeting on 5/6/2020 at 5:30pm; Marie Cisneros
seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.

STAFF REPORTS:
No staff reports currently.

ADJOURN:
Bonnie Lipan motioned to adjourn the meeting, Samantha Ferguson seconded the motion, which
passed unanimously. Meeting adjourned at 7:04 pm.

NEXT MEETING:
The next meeting date is: May 6, 2020.

GENERAL DISCUSSION:
There was general discussion about the use of each allocation category. There was discussion
how the current COVID19 situation would impact activities for youth recreation.
