NOTES Citizen’s District Council Meeting City of Muskegon CDBG Conference Room 203 Muskegon, Michigan Tuesday, April 3, 2012 CALL TO ORDER There was not a quorum for the meeting. ATTENDANCE Those in attendance were: Present: Chris Carter, Virgie Jackson, Tom Pastoor Excused: Rosalind Ford, Addie Sanders-Randall, Steve Gawron Absent: Lori Duff, Stephanie Marion, Jonathan Phillips Staff Present: Oneata Bailey, Liz Parker APPROVAL OF MINUTES Minutes from the January and February 2012 meetings could not be approved because there was not a quorum present. Due to low attendance, the meeting did not take place. Oneata Bailey announced the 2012 – 2013 Action Plan was out for review and public comment. There will be a public hearing for the Action Plan during the City Commission meeting on April 10. There will also be another public hearing on Thursday, April 12 at 10am in the Commission Chambers. She urged those in attendance to come to the meetings and give their comments. Liz Parker asked what to do to get CDC members to attend their meetings. The By- laws state that if a member misses two consecutive meetings without being excused, that is considered a resignation and a replacement shall be appointed. She noted the CDC still doesn’t have a full board, let alone trying to get more replacements. Chris Carter suggested Oneata discuss this with Commissioner Larry Spataro as he is the chair for the Community Relations Committee. Perhaps a letter from the City Commission can go out to the CDC members reminding them of their obligation when they were appointed. As a quorum did now show, the group left at 6pm. Respectively submitted, Liz Parker Community and Neighborhood Services City of Muskegon Page 1 of 1
