                              Citizen’s District Council Meeting
                                   City of Muskegon CDBG
                                    Conference Room 103
                                     Muskegon, Michigan
                                         June 6, 2023

CALL TO ORDER:
The meeting was called to order by Perry Dennie at 5:33 pm.

ROLL CALL:
Roll call was taken by Wendy Webster, and a quorum was present.
    Present:

    Absent:
            Jennifer Ross

            Bre’Onna Sanders
    Staff Present:

            Wendy Webster

    Others Present:
         Rebecca St. Clair, City Commissioner

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
        A motion to approve the minutes from March 7, 2023 (Action Item) was made by
         J. Lenertz. Paul Kurdziel supported the motion, which passed unanimously.

PUBLIC COMMENTS:
None.

OLD BUSINESS:
Recipient results: Unity did not provide strong narrative and did not meet the requirements.
Muskegon Public Schools tiny homes project was not approved as they did not meet the HUD
requirements. Love Inc will receive $20,000 for this year’s program. Last year they were unable
to spend $35,000 so this year it was reduced. MPS and Boys and Girls Club were outside the
deadline. Letters were submitted.

A program with MPS students in summer school will receive stipend funds. $30,000 was
awarded. Income approved students will be working throughout summer helping teachers and/or
staff with projects around the school.


ADJOURN: Paul Kurdziel motioned to adjourn, supported by J. Ross at 6:20 PM
