REGULAR MEETING
MINUTES
July 2, 2013
Chairperson J. Hilt called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. and roll was taken.
MEMBERS PRESENT: J. Hilt, D. Mayville, S. Kroes, K. Panozzo, L. Spataro
MEMBERS ABSENT: S. Radtke, excused; L. Wood
STAFF PRESENT: M. Franzak, D. Renkenberger
OTHERS PRESENT: B. Linstrom, 1058 Englewood Ave.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
A motion to approve the regular meeting minutes of June 4, 2013 was made by K. Panozzo,
supported by S. Kroes and unanimously approved.
NEW BUSINESS
Case 2013-07 – 587 W Western Avenue. Applicant: Bellabay Realty. District: Clay-Western.
Current Function: Commercial. The applicant is seeking approval to install a new awning with a
printed sign reading “Bellabay Realty” on the front of the building. This is the old Summer
Celebration office building. A picture of the proposed awning was provided to board members. K.
Panozzo asked what color the awning would be. B. Linstrom stated that it would be the darker blue
that was pictured in the photos.
L. Spataro arrived at 4:03 p.m.
A motion that the HDC approve the request to install the awning and sign as proposed, as long as all
zoning requirements are met and the necessary permits are obtained, was made by D. Mayville,
supported by J. Hilt and unanimously approved.
