                                         MINUTES OF THE
                       LOCAL OFFICER’S COMPENSATION COMMISSION MEETING
                                    TUESDAY, OCTOBER 29, 2019

MEMBERS PRESENT: Greg Borgman, Paul Edbrooke, Marty Ferriby, Dwayne Lang

MEMBERS ABSENT: Ellen Davis, Samara McIntosh, Todd Susterich

STAFF PRESENT: Frank Peterson, Barb Shullenberger

    I.      Call Meeting to Order
            The meeting was called to order at 4:06 p.m. by Chairman Dwayne Lang.

    II.     Election of New Chairperson
            A motion was made to elect Marty Ferriby as the new chairperson by Greg Borgman and
            seconded by Dwayne Lang and was unanimously approved.

    III.    Approval of Minutes of October 9, 2017
            A motion was made to accept the minutes of the October 9, 2017 meeting by Paul Edbrooke
            and seconded by Dwayne Lang and was unanimously approved.

    IV.     Setting of Salaries for the Mayor and City Commissioners for 2020 and 2021
            Marty Ferriby noted that she had reviewed the 2019 salaries of comparable cities and felt
            that the current salaries were sufficient and should remain the same.

            A motion was made by Marty Ferriby to keep the current salaries unchanged and was
            seconded by Paul Edbrooke. It was unanimously approved.

    V.      Training, Education and Travel Budget
            Greg Borgman discussed increasing the Mayor’s and City Commissioner’s training, education
            and travel budget and what increase would be appropriate. Marty Ferriby asked the City
            Manager if increasing the budget would be beneficial to them and he indicated it would be
            as it gives them an opportunity to meet and work with other Mayors and City
            Commissioners and attend training, educational events as well as community events.

    VI.     A motion was made by Greg Borgman to increase the training, education and travel budget
            by $750 for the Mayor and $500 for each City Commissioner, was seconded by Marty
            Ferriby and unanimously approved.

    VII.    Adjourn
            A motion was made by Marty Ferriby to adjourn the meeting and was seconded by Dwayne
            Lang. The meeting adjourned at 4:16.
