MUSKEGON BOARD OF CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSIONERS Regular Meeting Minutes Thursday, February 17, 2022 4:00 P.M. ************************************************************************************ I. CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Commissioner Johnny Brown at 4:11 P.M. Present: Commissioner Larry Spataro, Commissioner Johnny Brown, Kristen N. Wade, Civil Service Director, Dwana Thompson, EEO & Employee Relations Director, Kimberly Young, Deputy City Clerk, Amy Smiley, Administrative Supervisor of Public Safety and Christine Evans, Human Resources Specialist. II. MINUTES Motion was made by Commissioner Spataro and seconded by Commissioner Brown to approve the regular meeting minutes of the December 13, 2021 meeting. Motion Carried. III. ACTION AGENDA A. Approve the following job descriptions: Farmers Market Manager, Social Media Specialist, Fire Marshal and Parks Supervisor Motion was made by Commissioner Spataro and seconded by Commissioner Brown to approve the Farmers Market Manager, Social Media Specialist, Fire Marshal and Parks Supervisor. Commissioner Brown brought up the question of what is the definition of “moderate to heavy weight” that is referenced in the “Physical Activities” area. Discussion ensued and it was decided to clarify the language by adding anything over 50 lbs. will require assistance. Secondly, Commissioner Brown noticed that there is a typo in the Fire Marshal job description, “Typical Duties” section #11 it should read “of” instead of “if”. This will be revised before posting.
