Special Meeting Minutes

I. CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by Commissioner Brown at 3:59pm.
Present: Commissioner Lou LaBelle, Commissioner Johnny Brown, LeighAnn Mikesell-Deputy City
Manager; Kristen Wade-Civil Service Director; Kyle Karczewski-Director of Parks & Recreation;
Debra Matz-Administrative Supervisor (Public Safety); Dwana Thompson-EEO & Employee
Relations Director; and, Melissa Clark-Human Resource Analyst (County).
II. ACTION AGENDA
A. Proposal to Replace Beach/Park Ranger Job Description with a Revised Beach/Park Ranger
Job Description.
Director Karczewski explained the role no longer required math skills and was requesting the
math testing be removed from the job description/recruitment in order to attract more
applicants.
B. Proposal to Replace Parking Enforcement Manager Job Description with an Updated
Beach/Park Ranger Job Description.
Ms. Matz explained that an imminent retirement allowed an opportunity to revise the role to
better reflect the actual required duties and qualifications desired.
Commissioner Labelle made a motion to approve both requests, seconded by Commissioner
Brown.
Motion Carried.

There was no public comment.
