MINUTES
1. Minutes
Motion by Commissioner Johnson, second by Commissioner Turnquist to
approve the minutes for the July 8, 2019 meeting.
MOTION PASSES
2. Appointments to Citizen Police Review Board and District Library Board
Motion by Commissioner Turnquist, second by Vice Mayor Hood to appoint Ron
Hayward to the Citizen Police Review Board as the Neighborhood Association
Representative and Karen Evans to the District Library Board.
MOTION PASSES
3. Appointment to Equal Opportunity Committee
Motion by Commissioner Johnson, second by Vice Mayor Hood to appoint
Kimberly Williams as the representative from Ward 4.
MOTION PASSES
4. Establishment of Farmers Market Advisory Board
Motion by Commissioner Turnquist, second by Commissioner German to
establish Farmers Market Advisory Board to be comprised of 4 seasonal
farmers, 2 seasonal crafters/artisans, 1 seasonal food vendor, 2 citizens at
large, and 1 City Commissioner (ex-officio) with 3 year terms.
MOTION PASSES
5. Appointments to Farmers Market Advisory Board
Motion by Commissioner Johnson, second by Vice Mayor Hood to appoint Larry
Boersma, Dianne Snow, Jon Visser, and John Zandstra to the Farmers Market
Advisory Board as Seasonal Farmers.
MOTION PASSES
Motion by Vice Mayor Hood, second by Commissioner Johnson to appoint Kathi
Upman and Kristin Johnson to the Farmers Market Advisory Board as Seasonal
Crafters/Artisans.
MOTION PASSES
Motion by Commissioner Johnson, second by Commissioner German to appoint
Woody Van Blargan to the Farmers Market Advisory Board as a Seasonal Food
Vendor.
MOTION PASSES
Motion by Vice Mayor Hood, second by Commissioner Johnson to appoint
Melanie Lyonnais and Cindy Larsen to the Farmers Market Advisory Board as
Citizens.
MOTION PASSES
Meeting adjourned at 10:07 pm.
