                              CITY OF MUSKEGON
           COMMUNITY RELATIONS MEETING MINUTES
                                     Monday, April 7, 2025
                                           6:20 p.m.
                                   City Commission Chambers
                Present: German, Gorman, Johnson, Kilgo, Kochin, St. Clair




1.   Minutes
     Motion by Commissioner German, second by Commissioner Kilgo, to approve the
     minutes of the March 20, 2025 meeting.
     MOTION PASSED


2.   Board Resignations
     Motion by Commissioner Kochin, second by Commissioner Kilgo, to accept the
     resignation of Civil Service Commission member Dave Wendtland, Citizen, expiring term
     01/31/2027.
     MOTION PASSED



3.   Board *Reappointment and Appointment Recommendations
     The Community Relations Committee recommended to the City Commission the listed
     applicants for approval to terms on the following boards and committees.
     a. Civil Service Commission
     Motion by Commissioner German, second by Commissioner Kochin to recommend
     appointment of Georgia Moss, Citizen, expiring 01/31/2027
     MOTION PASSED


     b, Lakeside Business Improvement District
     Motion by Mayor Johnson, second by Commissioner Kilgo to recommend appointment
     of Nils Bodman, Assessed owner or representative to a partial term expiring 01/31/2026
     ROLL VOTE:    AYES: St. Clair, Johnson, Kilgo, Gorman
                    NAYS: Kochin, German
     MOTION PASSED



     Addition. Citizens Police Review Board — Member of Minority Based Organization
     Motion by Commissioner German, second by Commission Kochin, to recommend
     *reappointment of William Muhammad, Member of Minority Based Organization,
     expiring 01/31/27
     MOTION PASSED


4.   Board Updates from Commissioners
Commissioner Gorman reported for West Michigan Shoreline Regional Development
Commission that she was part of a discussion about the highway interchange and it will
be a topic at the May 29, 2025 Chamber event.


Other Business
Discussion took place regarding public comment at the work session about access to the
beach park and, also, the new SeeClickFIX public tool for reporting non-emergency
neighborhood issues that is going to launch soon.


The meeting adjourned at 6:55 pm.
